Thanks to Mike Durant for forwarding
topping off pictures from the Bath Iron Works project. Let
Mike describe highlights of the project in his own words:
"...Stresscon
did an outstanding job installing over 780 ton of rebar. Special
thanks to Brian Cosgrove and his crew for working to bring
this project in on time. As a result of their hard work and efforts
on this site, Stresscon has secured several other projects in the
State of Maine..."
"CCB
has done a yeoman’s job on the structural steel and miscellaneous
metals on this project. 2500 tons of structural steel has been
erected. There are several staircases and miles of railings all
across this building that measures 285 ft. by 235 ft by 106 ft. in
height. The trusses you see in the pictures are 129 ft. long and
over 20 ft. deep weighing more than 57,000 lbs each. CCB and
Stresscon have contributed over 20,000 man hours on this job since
the beginning of May to September. The pictures I am sending came
from Larry Grenier who has received them from US Navy
personnel so they are all good to publish. Note the special tribute
to our past dear friend and Brother Larry Carr on the truss
that was used as the topping off ceremony. This project should be
sent to Washington for publication after you put it on the NEDC
website. MIKE"
