Derrick International in Northboro, MA... |
 |
Thanks to Kevin McKinnon for the photos and
information re: Derrick International topping-off at an
Iron Mountain Warehouse project in Northboro, MA. The building
is 72 feet, from ground to roof, and one level. Columns are shipped
in in two pieces and spliced together by welding at the jobsite.
Roof sections/bar joist/bridging and decking are preassembled on
ground and hoisted into place, one bay at a time, to avoid doing all
that work 72 feet in the air.

Annual
Kim Ferrara Run
draws a large crowd... |
 |
Thanks to Arny Krane and Joe Politano
for forwarding pictures of the recent KIMBERLY FERRARA RUN.
Kim, the daughter of Tom and Julie Broderick, and late
wife of Local 7's Matt Ferrara, was a late employee of the
fund office. She was taken from our midst at far too young an age,
and many ironworkers/motorcyclists memorialize her each year through
this run, with the proceeds going to cancer research. Thanks to
everyone who participated...
