Chad Nason
R. I. P.
|
During a series of meetings at
Local 496 in Maine last week, it was brought to my attention
that one of the members I had highlighted in the latest edition
(September/October - bottom of Page 2) of The COLUMN, Brother
Chad Nason, was killed in a car wreck a scant two days after
this photo was taken. Naturally, had I known this I most certainly
would have made note of it. I sincerely apologize for the oversight,
and I will place a similar notation in the next edition of The
COLUMN. In the interim, please remember Chad and his family in your
thoughts and prayers.

Political heavyweights
pay a visit to
"The House of
Iron"
|
 |
US Senator Ted Kennedy, US
Congressman Steve Lynch, Boston Mayor Tom Menino,
Worcester Mayor (and soon to be MA Lt. Governor) Tim Murray,
State Senator Jack Hart, State Representative Marty Walsh
and a host of other political activists, labor leaders, and
rank-and-file members and their families visited the "House of
Iron" for a pre-election rally today...
Local 7 did a fantastic job spearheading this rally.
Local 7 President Paul Lynch kicked the rally off with a
rousing speech. If you weren't there, you missed out on the many
comments about how beautiful the building was, and how appreciative
the many politicians are to have us in their corner. Working
together, we are poised to put the country back on track for working
people and their families...
Lt. Governor candidate Tim Murray said it
best when he said: "Politics is like your car - If you want to
move forward you put it in
D
(Democrat) - if you want to go backwards you put it in
R
(Republican)!
Please support the DEVAL
PATRICK/TIM MURRAY team for Governor and Lt. Governor of MA...
Please support Steve Lynch for
re-election to Congress (if you reside and vote in his district)...
Please support Ted Kennedy for
re-election to the Senate...
Don't forget Jack
Hart or Marty Walsh if you reside and vote in their
area...It's time to put worker's issues at the forefront and we need
you to get out and vote and to encourage your friends and family to
do the same. These are the elected officials who share our
philosophies....

rally
