Local 7 members PLEASE NOTE:
I received this E-mail from Local 7 FS/T Jim Brown, who has been
coordinating efforts with the family and Bobby's co-workers,
brothers and sisters from LU7.
The family has asked if the Ironworkers could assemble nearby and do
a
walk by the casket in unison.
Jimmy told them we could arrange something like that.
St. Anns Church is next
door and we could a meet in the parking lot.
He suggested meeting at 4:30 p.m. and marching up to the funeral
home en masse at
5:00p.m.
NOTE: More info will follow or we will finalize a plan at the
Funeral Home if need be...

Tragedy strikes
GOLIATH CRANE
dismantling project... |
 |
A
section
of the Goliath Crane collapsed today taking the life of our beloved
brother and friend
Bobby Harvey at the tender age of
28. Bobby was highly regarded, supremely talented, and his presence
will be sorely missed.
Bobby was pronounced dead by the medical examiner at approximately 3
p.m. Bobby's wife and family members, Local 7 co-workers and
officers, and representatives of the LMCT Safety Department, IMPACT,
and the Daniel Marr Company had a prayer session with a chaplain and
a moment of silence before Bobby's body was removed from the
job-site...MAY
YOU REST IN PEACE, BOBBY.
Several operating engineers were also
hurt in the accident and we send out our blessings to them and their
families...
NOTE:
Friday, August 15, 2008
at
6:30 a.m.,
representatives from MODERN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (Local 7's employee
assistance program) will be available
at Local 7
for Bobby's co-workers and anyone else who wishes to participate in
a discussion and question and answer session regarding Bobby's
loss...

parents of a new daughter Mairead Josephine O'Brien.
The O'Briens welcomed Mairead into the

in the interim as the baby underwent a serious heart
operation at the Children's Hospital. Mairead is doing
well now and we want to congratulate Jay and Lauren on
