Life is about CHOICES...

Make the right CHOICE...

Who are we and what do we do?

Since 1896, Ironworkers have been doing more than you realize. We build the bridges you drive on, the offices you work in, the schools your children attend, and the stadiums in which you cheer. And we do it every day. Make sure you have a few spare minutes if you ask an ironworker: "What did you do today?"

Please BOYCOTT ALL
HERB CHAMBERS
auto dealerships

Are you a customer of
billion dollar auto dealer
Herb Chambers?

If so, you must understand that Herb Chambers is undermining your ability to make a living as he continues to expand his automobile empire throughout New England. As a customer, you should ask yourself the following:

Who is HERB CHAMBERS and why does he continue to condone the hiring of contractors who do not abide by community standards for wages, benefits, and working conditions. These contractors and the owners who utilize them are ignoring the plight of taxpayers throughout New England and it is these same taxpayers who will eventually foot the bill for these misguided practices?

In addition to the number of dealerships bearing Herb Chambers’ name, please recognize the fact that the following dealerships also fall under Mr. Chambers' empire: FLAGSHIP MOTORS OF NATICK----MERCEDES BENZ NATICK----AUDI BURLINGTON----BENTLEY BOSTON----FOREIGN MOTORS WEST NATICK----LAND ROVER SUDBURY----PORSCHE OF BURLINGTON----SMART CENTER OF BOSTON----SMART CENTER OF LYNNFIELD.

We have respectfully requested that Mr. Chambers sit down to discuss the continuing hiring and sub-contracting habits of the general contractors he chooses who don't pay area standard wages and benefits. He chose to ignore our request, which is his right. Conversely, it is YOUR choice where you buy your cars and trucks and if you are shopping at HERB CHAMBERS you are making a grave mistake.

If you are a customer of Herb Chambers (he has 44 dealerships!) your business allows him to continue to accumulate wealth at your expense. Until and unless you fight back, he will continue to condone the practices of his general contractors. Today, our campaign is kicking off. You will be receiving newsletters, bumper stickers, and a variety of additional information in various manners, shapes, and forms.
As we have explained in the past, in previous campaigns, we need leverage with owners who rely on our members' business to succeed. As long as Mr. Chambers refuses to sit down and engage us in discussion, YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE POWER YOU POSSESS AND STOP FEEDING HIS CONSIDERABLE WEALTH!

This is step one. It will take time (and your attention and effort in spreading our message) to have an effect on his businesses. Moving forward, should Mr. Chambers continue to ignore our request to discuss the byproduct of non-payment of area standard wages and benefits by sub-contractors working on his projects (and the adverse effect it has on taxpayers and everyday citizens for a variety of hidden reasons), we will be sitting down with similarly situated local unions to combine and expand our economic leverage as the plan continues to unfold.

Right now, it is time for you and your family to
BOYCOTT ALL HERB CHAMBERS DEALERSHIPS
(Don't forget...Not all the dealerships bear his name)

Should the situation change, we will apprise you immediately.
Jay Hurley (A former Herb Chambers' customer)
